So I have noticed more and more if I do happen to get a message usually off a guy paying a compliment the word ginger is always in there but why do you message blonds and brunettes quoting there colour to them or are people so afraid of ginger hair as ridiculous as that seems?

Somewhere in Co. Down

It's probably used in messages to you as you have it in your name .

I'm just curious why that's all I bet other hair or skin colours don't get it

Was just about to say that you've drawn attention to your gingerness in your name.

Maybe if you're feeling sensitive about prople bringing it uo, a name change might be in order

Not feeling sensitive about it just an observation and the way people say it's more like your ok for a ginger

Loads of people on here get referred to by hair colour once someone knows what it is, especially if you don't have pictures to show it.......

Ginger in profile name and ginger in profile pic....I'd say people are picking up on something you're featuring.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

I've seen a few women's profiles stating they like "Ginger" hair.

I don't state my hair colour on my profile - you can't see it from my pics either. I don't think it's important - and no I'm not ashamed of it.

I like it as I stand out & I'm not like averyone else. Something different.

Some people seem to have a preference, Perhaps it's just that... Some people dye their hair. Why do they do that?

Change your name as an experiment to see if you get the same response!

I just love ginger men. On my profile I state that I'm mature and BBW and tend to get messages from guys that are into that.

Targeted for being an Awesome auburn avenger? People are a mystery to me! Redheads with pale skin and freckles have always been a weakness of mine though.

Some people can be like that about different things. I have had people message and say I look good for an oldish guy. Or that message saying they are making ‘exceptions’ for me as don’t usually go for gay men only bi men. All patronising and worth ignoring. You should do the same bud

Red hair, pale skin and freckles!!! I just find that combination so perfect. Very hard to find in my neighbourhood.

La la land

It's a distinguishing feature, and I think people say it so you know the compliment is personal to you.

Well I don't know many people who are blonde or brunette that get shouted at in the street just for their hair colour.
