"...if it's not OK, it's not the end"
Following up on TM's great thread about onscreen deaths that stayed with us, how about swinging the emotional pendulum in the other direction; what TV or movie moments have made you cry with joy? whether that be a feelgood moment or a happy ending... ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Afterlife. Heartbreakingly sad moments but makes you laugh out loud and smile at the same time Some really heartwarming bits
Brilliant show, and I have to say Ricky gervais got all of how it feels spot on |

Agree here. I can't stand Ricky outside of The Office but I gave this a go on recommendation and yep it got to me for sure. I wondered what he had been through to get the feeling in that show so bang on. Brilliant |

I’m always been 50/50 on him, but seeing derek, afterlife etc, oh and Extras is comedy gold- he can do no wrong now.
Sat there and binged the first series, sobbed and laughing, and same with the second. I often thought the same. He struck a chord with so many.
Can’t wait for the next one x |

My go-to is 'the Secret life of Walter Mitty'. Such a self empowering feelgood message, touches the welling-up nerve every time. OK, there are a few 'wtf is this' moments, but they're more than made up for by the heartwarming story of a man realising he can do whatever he puts his mind to, some incredible visuals and a soundtrack made in heaven. |

I finished rewatching series 3 of No Offence last night and it was such a joyful program. A strong and supportive female-led team, lots of dark humour, warm and engaging characters and quite a lot of rudeness sprinkled through. |

Loved No Offence - in fact what happens to Joy could easily appear on the other thread
And the much missed Paul Ritter was excellent in it too |

The ending to game of thrones and supernatural. Talk about anticlimactic.
Nah. Just joking. They were bad but not cry worthy.

The death of the killer in series 1 is still one of the most shocking things I've seen!
Incredible program. Helps that I really fancy Viv Deering. Not the actress, the character. |

Now you've got me racking my brains (turning to Google!!) to remember how the killer met their fate in Series 1
Got to love Viv though - got some balls had that one |

I like Notting Hill.
Throughout the whole film it feels like how you hope it would be if you bumped into someone famous and fell in love with them.
The part at the end where they’re on the private park bench and she’s pregnant.
Gets me every time. Love that film.
Oh, this is Just, not Becky.. ![](/icons/s/wink.gif) |

God, everything about that show is just so spot on. The highs and the crushing lows and the perfect soundtrack that goes with it. Some of it gives me goosebumps…. |

"War horse when he heard his horse whinny. Gets me every time.
So need to sit my ass down and watch this film..."
Once things open up a bit more keep an eye out for any theatre performances of it - it's amazing |

Band of Brothers when it goes through how the main characters fared in real life after the war then cut to some of the narrators who were some of the actual people portrayed in the movie. Great book too. |

A bit of an obscure TV series (ad short run) which I found recently by accident - Brief Encounters, when they do manage to have their first big party and moments of friendship and support for each other |
