So the morning after the night before - as much as it hurts the best team on the night, and through the tournament, won so congratulations to Italy - a great achievement!
So it didn’t quite Come Home but a memorable tournament nevertheless and the team can be proud - sadly a small minority of online trolls resorted to disgusting abuse and will hopefully be punished but the large majority of decent supporters are proud of what they have achieved and getting one step closer to a major trophy. There’s a lot more to come from this team yet and it’s not long until the World Cup!
From a personal perspective I’ve been delighted to have the chance to be there in person for the Final itself, Denmark in the Semi and Germany in the round of 16. Ironically I originally only had tickets to the group games but they were all cancelled when the capacity was reduced.
The memories in the stadium will never be forgotten, the celebrations after Denmark and the moment we went 1-0 up last night were epic!
What a tournament though - the distressing scenes when Eriksen collapsed, the Group of death, Wales beating Turkey to finish second to eventual winners Italy in Group A, France losing to Switzerland in the first real big shock, Croatia 3-5 Spain, England’s 4-0 vs Ukraine, then the drama and heartbreak of last night?
What was your enduring memory of the tournament?
What will you think of when people mention Euro 2020 in the years ahead?
Anyway on a personal note I’ve always said whatever the outcome that I was UNLOSing again after the tournament so I wish you all farewell and will (hopefully) be back November next year for the World Cup in Qatar!
Thanks for joining in and apols to my friends that I’m rubbish at messaging
Have a great Summer, stay safe and healthy, be nice to each other and can I wish you all an early Merry Christmas!!

See you next year willy
In answer to the question, how they played and keep growing as a team. One with ability, confidence and an excellent work ethic. The future is there's for the taking. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Bye Willy
Don't need to leave it so long - plenty of other sport.
And there is the Olympic football too with Team GB
No need to stay away for over a year |

Always sad when someone leaves ….
“ Theres a voice, That keeps on calling me
Down the road, Thats where I'll always be
Every stop I make, I make a new friend
Can't stay for long, Just turn around
And I'm gone again”
