Hey all,
I'm going to Brighton with my housemate (purely platonic) in early September for a week and we need some ideas for things to do and see.
He likes nerdy stuff like comic books, graphic novels, war gaming/tabletop gaming, miniatures, as well as board games, escape rooms, museums and art stuff.
I like some of the above, plus gothic culture and thrifting/charity shops/vintage
I know nothing about the area, except that we're staying near the sea front in Kempston (spelling?)
I think we're going on the i360 and to the museum and art gallery and to the big Emmaus superstore but that's as far as we've got. Any suggestions? |

Sorry, just playing with you
Wish I could actually offer something more helpful but hope you have a lovely time , I’ve been meaning to visit there myself sometime. I’ll hand over now to people who might actually be able to help |

I saw that but a lot of the suggestions were club themed or sex themed so not super relevant or appropriate for the company I'll be in
We do watch Drag Race so it would be a shame not to go to a drag show! |

Tons of charity shops down here - there are several in Kemp Town where you are - Cats Protection, Age UK, Marie Curie. I'd also recommend London Road from St Peter's church to the Martlets shop near the Duke of York's cinema - lots there including large ones. There's also a big gaming shop called Dice Saloon at no 88. There are several other such shops around.
You might both like Dave's Comics in Sydney Street - lots of cult game books, mags and models in there. You might also both like the excellent exhibition of rare David Bowie photographs in the Art Gallery - recommended.
And go to Bristol Gardens - packed full of Fabbers!
Have a great time. xx |

The games café on the seafront is amazing. Check out the Laines and Snoopers Paradise for your vintage fix. Idyea is a café close to Snoopers that does amazing food. |
