I remember seeing something about the difference with sleeping with your door open or closed during a house fire. Scared the shit out of me, so all doors are closed at night

Used to be open to listen to the children when a single.

When not single closed last one to bed.

Nowadays its always open and its more of a security thing as I listen to the house.

Can wake up with a funny noise in the house realy easily.

I keep my door closed now to stop my brat of a cat doing this and as she has learned to open doors, I shove a door wedge under the door to stop her from breaking in. Sometimes she scrats at the door briefly but soon gives up. I sleep so much better by locking her out.
