I have a very poor sence of smell due to cancer, i still have some, but not much, way more of a worry to me is i also lost alot of my hearing, thants not good, but being blind would be my nightmare.

Think it would be pretty horrendous as taste and smell are closely linked.

Imagine not being able to smell all the lovely things in life. Coffee,fresh bread, flowers, your lover,cut grass...

They reckon one of the reasons Michael Hutchence became depressed was because he lost his sense of taste and smell after a blow to the head.

Thank you lovely anyway. I've had both jabs and I'm not in hospital which is a big bonus seen as I've nursed covid patients to the end..

It sucks, lost mine after i fractured the back of my skull a couple of years ago. Something to do with affecting the sinuses apparently and quite common with that type of bang on the head. I wasn't able to taste anything for ages either but that thankfully has come back, not to normal but good enough.

"I have a very bad sense of smell. Had an operation when child due to my hay fever on nose , sinuses? . Since then yes can smell say gas and very strong aromas. But normal everyday smells cannot notice.

I have never had a true sense of smell and anything I smell now is like a ghost leg/arm in that I dont really smell it but my mind "remembers".
