Seeing we can hopefully start travelling again soon, what are your future plans. After talking to a good friend this morning. I’ve just booked a winter sun break.
What was your last trip away? And what’s your next?
Last trip was to see family in Norway January 2020
And just booked a trip to St Lucia for November
Fingers crossed |

It sounds like we can now go to amber countries but my worry is what its going to be like when we get there? 18 months of no tourists means that the whole logistics system would have broken down. Will the farmers have any produce? Would they have planted lettuces, tomatos, cucumber etc in the spring not knowing if they would have any customers to sell to? Just think that the world will now be a different place for a year or so |

I'm uncertain and hearing flights had a massive run on bookings yesterday. Probably somewhere in Greece to a few weeks.
Obviously other countries can make it harder for us, due to the shite state of things here |

When do you both deem it safe? There will always be an element of risk now. Will you believe nations to tell the truth anyway?

When I think there’s no chance it could change to red whilst I’m there. You’re right I don’t think it will ever be safe. I won’t even go to Spain and I have a house there, I just don’t want to get stuck anywhere. |

They have stated the government advice that you shouldn’t travel to amber list countries will be removed to coincide with the 19th July removal of self quarantine. So basically amber is also now green.
Our last holiday was Mexico in March this year, and we will be back there next weekend. |

Not as many as I'd like, but plenty considering the time available.
Just back from a mini cruise.
Got a few weekends away booked/planned over the summer.
Another cruise in Sept, Scotland in Oct, Caribbean in Dec

Its a concern. What have the farmers and lorry drivers in tourist destinations such as the greek islands been doing for the last 18 months when normally 80% of their work comes from tourism? The farmers and logistics companies cant just switch things back on again just because the british government has relaxed the rules. |

"I really wouldn’t book anything in advance far too risky , I’ll go later this summer and autumn , flights only,
I think booking flights only is risky at present. I prefer a package. "
You can book a few days before and on credit card, no risk. Scheduled flights run most days you can change in Amsterdam or Charles de Gaul and get anywhere in the world easily. Travel companies are still going bust you know, there’s no need to use them these days and put your money at risk. |

We have been to Wales this year and have a break booked for the Isle of Wight in October.
We also have Spain booked for June next year.
We will go away on honeymoon hopefully in March/April but we feel If we were to book something abroad for this year we just wouldn't be able to relax because there is still so much uncertainty so we will give it a miss and save our holidays abroad for next year. |

No trips planned atm
My family commitments atm dictate that I am essentially confined to barracks for the foreseeable future
Once those commitments are lifted I'd like to 'do' Southern Europe by train, take a month out and take my time
Failing that, a week in Sitges would do just great
My last 'holiday' was a weekend in Dublin 3 years ago |

I travelled back to France last week. It is quiet here at the moment but events are now being put on. The supermarkets are full of all the usual gorgeous food so if you get a chance and can travel safely then try it. I think the world will be a slightly different place for a while so we can catch up. Hopefully we will all appreciate what we have and cherish our freedoms. |

Just did Malta , was lovely, quietish, forms and tests were a bit annoying and costly , 30 Euro for a pre return test but £48 for a day 2 . Off to dudai in a couple of weeks so will need pre tests both ways plus a day 2 and possibly a day 8, looking at around £400 for the 4 tests, it’s put me off travelling a little , you spend so much time faffing with forms and test bookings |

"Seeing we can hopefully start travelling again soon, what are your future plans. After talking to a good friend this morning. I’ve just booked a winter sun break.
What was your last trip away? And what’s your next?
Last trip was to see family in Norway January 2020
And just booked a trip to St Lucia for November
Fingers crossed "
Talk of St Lucia could be at risk of red status change this week. Sincerely hope not for you and your daughters sake |

I can certainly understand your reservations. It adds so much to an already expensive trip.. |

"Last break was Scotland, next break Scotland. I am so in need of a roadtrip"
I do love Scotland, my cousin lives up on the north coast in Tongue.
I mean what a name |
