Depends where I am. If I'm somewhere beautiful, like in a meadow or looking out at a lake, then I love it. If I'm alone in my house, I'm less keen and usually put some music on! |

I hate it. Between tinnitus and my own thoughts it's a no no. I've always got something on to listen too or background noise, just anything to occupy my ears |

"Can you handle silence ?
What do you do with it ?"
My mind's never silent, but I'm comfortable with silence, I enjoy and appreciate it and get a bit annoyed when I can hear next doors television or voices through the connecting wall

"I love silence. I get grumpy if I don't have enough peace in my day.
As to what I do with it: I revel in it."
I need more reasons to use word "revel" in my life, thanks. |

I was sitting the last five minutes at work today alone and in glorious silence. I almost considered just sitting there for rest of the afternoon rather than do all the other things that needed doing. Quite partial to a radio though. Unless I am trying to sleep and then its silence, or the rain. |

I do like revels.
Revels are brilliant until you get a coffee cream |

I love the sound of rain on windows, and the noise of waves breaking on pebbles. Or even better than pebbles, Dead Horse Bay, where the waves lapping against all the broken bottles sounded like eerie windchimes. Madly soothing. |

You're always welcome to my coffee creams but I will probably judge you hard for liking them. |

Yup
We often decompress in an evening
No TV on, No radio on
Just me faffing on here and the OH on his mac
It's quite common for us not to talk for a couple of hours most nights |

I love silence …… I clear the cobwebs from my head and fill it with positive thoughts ….. sometimes silence is what I need then other times it can be deafening, enjoy it xxxx |

It's in Brooklyn, but if you're ever there for any length of time I'd definitely take a morning out to visit it. It's a slog to get to from Manhattan but is one of the most interesting places I've been to. |

It's my absolute favourite, I can't get my head around people who can't be on there own for to long and have to try fill every silence, I'd quite happily spend a week of everymonth without seeing or speaking to anyone lol |

I was hoping you might say Wales. I will put it on the travel bucket list. I love finding the tiny bits of beach glass on our beaches. Wonder if Brooklyn is were it is all born |

Ahhh don't take silence for granted. There are many ways to find peace. Silence isn't always the way for everyone. But I miss it very much. I doubt I'll ever experience silence again in my lifetime. That's a scary and strange reakity I never imagined I would experience.
