.... Nope!
Just tried it. Cooked as per instructions. Defrosted first. Smells like processed artificial food before you cook it and is very slimy.
After you cook it, it kind of looks like a burger but tastes nothing like it. I mean they really tried in terms of texture and appearance, but nope, it ain't meat, and worse, it's not even nice.
I know it's not vegan but if you want vegetarian burgers, try Linda McCartney's vegetarian mozzarella burgers. They taste lovely! The ones with mozzarella specifically.
Other than that I prefer vegetarian and vegan food too be what it was intended, not a desperate meat substitute, but to stand out in its own right. |

There was an article on TV this morning about plant based burgers being highly processed and with more sugars & salt than their meat based equivalents
The manufacturers have to put so much in them to make them taste good that they aren't really all that good for you
It summised by saying they were effectively junk food
It's a shame cos, whilst I'm not a veggie, I'm not a fan of meat and was hoping I could move away from fish & falafel based dishes with these
Plus I love the vegan sausage rolls from Greggs |
