Not quite swinging fare but definitely adult specific, so I felt that this is appropriate.
We’re currently having to isolate after what appears to be a breakout at the local school. We’re now on day two of ten and there are already marks on the walls from littles wanting to get out. So I ask all of the parents on here: In this last year, what essential skills have you developed as a parent that you didn’t realise that you needed or ever wanted?
For me it includes,
Being able to understand and take part in multiple conversations at the same time, on divergent topics
Being able to make a single episode of a TV program last a whole day
Eating and enjoying a cold meal
Drinking coffee an hour after it’s gone cold and not giving a damn

Bribery for quiet time
Adapting beer pong to child friendly environment
What will really keep them quiet, still for an hour
True saviour was ‘draw off’ time, pick something to both draw and see who does the best, with images sent to family & friends for unbiased count, something together but relaxed |
