I experienced my first bit of real racism on fab, not the innocent ignorant sort but an actual “monkey features” name calling kind
Now I’m a big girl and that but seriously why is this necessary? You don’t like me or the colour of my skin then pass me by. I don’t know the purpose of this thread think I’m just a bit peeved by it |

On a side note, I find interesting that several comments refer to your abuser as ‘him’ when nothing in your op suggests the gender of that person. Prejudice is rife on Fab.

Thank you all for such nice comments and yes I reported him. I’m proud of my features by the way, and the colour I was born with. Just kind of disgusts me on such a personal attack that people can be so mean. I don’t even know why I’m surprised maybe because I’ve been here for over 2 years and this is the first time someone has said anything of this nature |

Im sorry to read this has happened to you. There are some spiteful and nasty people on here. Some of the comments in the forums show that and we should all report offensive behaviour, posts and profiles.

There's a lot of casual and overt racism on Fab tbh. Last year I started a thread about the fact that I thought people requesting or specifying 'BBC only' was using a racist trope about black men. So difficult to answer something like this, so to answer the question you asked… for most people it’s not necessary.
Some people get joy out of deliberately antagonising others with comments they know will upset people.
I wish it was as simple as saying forget it, or to remind you how beautiful you are, but that doesn’t help the abuse you received for no reason at all.
I suppose in all walks of life you will get uneducated, morons with a lack of empathy. Hopefully life catches up with these people someday soon and changes their views and actions.
