Recently applied for a job that require a credit check. Was a sure thing of getting this job and then the credit check happened and complete disaster, refused outright. I’ve been in disagreement with two card companies, vanquis and barclaycard. Which has now come to dealing with the financial ombudsman to sort them out. Vanquis was a heavily insured card which should have been written off due to being out of work for three consequetive years and they’re trying to weasel out of it. Barclaycard suspended my account because they wanted more money, never missed payments. I did complain to them initially and they rang me, but I missed the call, then they sent a text saying they rang me and the matter is now closed, muppets. So because of these incompetents I have a damaged credit rating for no good reason. Sorry just had to vent my frustration. |

You need to get it resolved or it’s 6 years with a crap credit rating. My job also requires a credit check and even I got nervous as credit agencies can make mistakes.
Good luck though, as Banks can be tough to get them to amend your credit file.  |
