I know a lot of people think it was a travesty of justice that he was released from prison 3 years on(he was supposed to do 3 to 10, he did 3). However I do believe justice has been served. Everyone knows he is a as guilty as sin for drugging and sexually assaulting all those ladies over many decades. Now if you're of a certain age like me you'll remember the 'Cosby Show' and how popular it was, he was made to be 'Americas dad'. Can you imagine how those ladies must have felt seeing this? Knowing full well what he really was. Now in his 80's everyone knows. Crazily it was a closed secret in the film industry that he was a rotten egg, but no one dared speak up against him. Because like Saville, he had so much power and influence. Now everyone knows and acknowledges the truth. And Cosby will have to walk the 'walk of shame' in private and public. The crazy thing about it is he still trying to convince people he's innocent. You know when there is one or two people making an accusation against someone then it's your word against a minority, but when it stems back to the 60's(I knew it went back decades, but I didn't know it went back that far till I read it on the Internet) that's over 50 years of countless women, then who is he kidding? When Eddy Murphy went to collect his award he had a stab at Cosby. Eddy was one of the few who dared speak up.
The irony of this saga is that it wasn't the justice system that brought brought Cosby down and vindicated the victims, it was people like Eddy Murphy and Hannibal Buress, who were fellow comedians. |

He's only served 2 years.
Let's be clear about something though. He hasn't been released early, his conviction has been overturned.
While I am appalled by this, I do understand why.
It is about the integrity of the Justice system.
Many get off on technicalities where errors have been made.
I'm appalled that an agreement had been entered into between his attourney and tge previous prosecutor - and that's sonething that must be investigated.
He was found guilty by a jury based on the evidence before the court.

He got let out on a technicality based oh a deal his lawyer made with the prosecution. How has justice been served?
I bet if you asked those women who bravely stood up and named him if they thought justice was served they'd think not. |
