"Most cities have plenty to keep you occupied.
The best chance of a cheap place to stay, is AirBnB or advance booking at a Travelodge. Travelodge have some city offers on at the moment I think. "

"Be lucky to find anywhere! Most places are booked up.
Great to know cheers.
That wasn’t a nasty comment by the way. I just know it’s hard to find somewhere especially in the school hols. "
I know it was just an irony funny remark. I may do a travellodge, but where, was hoping someone might tell me if Leeds is any good. |

They’re not cheap but nothing will be this summer, everyone will be trying to recoup lost earnings."

Leeds isn't a bad city at all.
Good museums, galleries, shopping and plenty of nightlife.
What sort of things interest you? That might help us point you in the right direction. |

"Eating and nightlife, uve mentioned. I like a bit of shopping too, if there's some history great and plenty of naughties going on of course."
Leeds has a couple of swinging clubs, but it's unclear if swinging will be an option by then or not.
Manchester has everything, unfortunately that's including a fairly high covid rate.
Newcastle - great nightlife, lots to do nearby and a swinging club.
York - plenty of history and nightlife but no clubs nearby.
Or just see what's available in your budget accommodation wise, and check out what's nearby. |

"If you get near whitby, the Steampunk festival is on 23rd to 25th that's always worth a look - especially as entry is free to the main daytime event. "

Ahhh just looked it up and 5 yrs ago this wudda been right up my street, sadly not any more. I now wear a cochlear implant n music im afraid is lost on me and quite a nasty noise that i dont cope well with unless i recognise a tune so i play it as it used to sound in my head n try marry it up with what i hear. Sying that its a great photography opportunity which is my speciality. So it cud still be a maybe. Cheers |
