I lose my temper a lot but I rarely externalise it

I rarely raise my voice but apparently my eyebrows are very aggressive

They give the game away

Apparently when I'm rattled, they rise above my forehead like they do in cartoons

patience of a saint with people, rarely will anyone get a rise out of me (except my kids) ...but inanimate objects that don't do what they're supposed to; immediate rage!

I rarely lose my temper as when working with animals its a pointless exercise, calm and controlled is the way forward, if I need to lose my shit I just go and chop logs

Just lately quite a bit. Small things too, like food packaging putting up resistance, sets me off.

Back in the eighties I kicked the radio cassette player out the dash with my high heel boot because of the song being played on the radio.

I try to be as calm as possible to keep my stress levels down, the slightest thing at one time could set my temper going mostly at myself I may add.

I can't remember the last time I lost my temper. Neither of us are moody people and rarely even snap at each other though her ladyship would probably agree she has the more fiery temperament. Apparently I have a very scary "aura" sometimes that despite me being totally unaware of it is usually treated as me having lost my temper

When I was younger I had a temper

Mellowed when I had children and mostly calm. Everyone says I have this calming vibe about me

However there are two days of the month where I feel rageful...I hide it well thankfully

Edinburgh (She/Her)

Frustrations rather than temper, lots. Raised voices on occasions. More than I would like.

Walked away from conversations on many occasions.

I did describe my temper in detail. Deleted it and Decided against explaining it.

Let's just say best not to flick the switch!!!!!!

Lost my rag, with a work colleague, a couple of days ago. The pair of us were ready to kill each other....But can laugh at it now, after her "Fuck you then." (It helps if you say it in the Queens voice, trust me.)

She was pissed I wouldn't tell her why I was mad with her. It would have all blown over by the next day.All good now and back to winding each other up.

Only once and that was many, many years ago at school. I was 14/15 at the time.

Several years of being bullied came to a breaking point one day and I snapped.

A red mist did quite literally descend.

I beat the living crap out of my bully and he needed stitches. I was very lucky not to be expelled or even caned.

The Headmaster did say to me, "I cannot condone what you did, but that boy will never bully anyone else ever again" and surprisingly he was right.

The boy avoided me after that. I never sought him out, I had no need to. He left me alone and that is all I wanted.

Perversely though, I did get sought out by those he bullied and they thanked me, as he had left them alone.

I've never lost my temper since. The "Red Mist" scared the crap out of me and taught me a lesson about self-control.

Looking back now, I feel sorry for the boy. I suspect he must have come from a broken home and he was projecting. Unfortunately his projections caught up with him. I hope he turned out ok.

I rarely lose mine, nothing is ever that disastrous in my life compared to world troubles, so no matter how angry we get it never resolves until level heads are applied

Mr"

I have noticed this comment and tbh I agree. We are both reasonably chilled people and if one of us is going to react to something it would more than likely be me.

You my darling don't need to raise your voice to be heard as you get this authorative presence.... don't you Luther
