It's doubtful that a statue could really do Diana justice. I've often wondered why it doesn't seem possible to put up a different sort of memorial to a dead person that a statue or plaque. In the case of Diana, probably the most photographed and filmed person on the planet who wasn't a model or actor, they could put up a set of interlocking screens that would show a long series of clips of film and photographs over and over. |

I personally think that this skill has been lost in recent times. Unlike old Victorian/Georgian examples out there, I believe that this generation of sculptures fail to imprint any unique character.... if they try the result is almost comical |
