Are you ever surprised when you look at a forum post and see a post click on their name a realised you are blocked! I've seen a couple recently and yet don't remember ever chatting to them |

I don't think this has ever happened to me, but some will do it based on your forum responses on previous threads

I’ll normally block based on statuses or something they’ve said they’re looking for.
If a woman’s after an Asian man, there’s no need for us to be in contact. So I’ll block etc…

Sometimes someone will look at my profile, see that I'm not for them and pre-emptively block me.
Saves any unwanted messages from people they aren't interested in.
Doesn't mean we've ever interacted or they've taken offence to anything I've said on here. |

Knowing how I've used the block button in the past, when I was a singleton on here, not really. Certain things on profiles would trigger my block button, such as 420 (not a drug user and cannot stand it) or any anatomical requirements I don't meet. It just saves them popping up in searches. Also, a view or post expressed on the forum could identify someone I'd have no compatibility with. |

The fucks given, seem to have left me today, with the amount of blocks received! Obviously, if they've blocked me, they weren't good enough for the mindfuck that follows an inbox from me

i know for a fact ive upset loads of people and they have blocked me for it.
thats fine its up to them.
the possibility of meeting them is zero for me anyway after what they posted about me on facebook.

No, it seems to come with the territory being a Mod. People seem to think if they block me that I won't be able to put them on the naughty step if they misbehave.

People often use the block feature to rule people they're not matched with for whatever reason out of any searches they do, or to save wasting messages.
Some block anyone local to them or people they've recognised.
The list of innocuous reasons for blocking is endless and not always done for bad reasons. |

No. And I don’t mind either anymore. I used to feel a bit upset that maybe I’d rubbed someone up the wrong way, but I guess we can’t be to everyone’s taste, and it could be just because you live too close or something.

No. I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't know about it either so it's wasted effort. The forum isn't my chosen hunting ground so I've no need to look at most of the profiles. |

I may have blocked someone if I see that they're only looking for BBC or unicorns etc.

thats interesting, sometimes ive been told that ive blocked someone and i found out it was because i was using the mobile app and some how its blocked them. |
