Flying things buzzing round my noggin.
There's sodding loads of them. Brown n noisy, about the same size as a large wasp. I've never seen one before
They're landing on the grass, making a big racket then kinda rolling onto their backs. Any offers?
I'm sat in the garden trying to bonfire but the wood won't catch on, guessing the rain we had the last few days got it wetter inside than my minge the first time I felt engines roaring on a race track |

They fly slowly (it’s a seeming miracle that they can fly at all) and indeed make quite a noise (I mean, a REAL noise!)
You’ll only usually see them after sunset though, between May and July and like moths, they are attracted to light (hence why they often can be heard crashing against lit windows this time of year)
They’re completely harmless however - just very clumsy |

"Oh my days I've just imaged searched them, they are adorable!
Ain't they!!
I was gonna give one a wallop if it got too close now I'm willing one to come land on me
Cat noise "
I've been trying to get a photo but they're too quick |

I can see one on the big plant in the garden behind. I'm tempted to climb on my back wall. However..... if I get spotted I might get done for peeping tommery |

Given your history of teetering at height just check there are no screws/nails left lying about beneath the wall |
