Hi all.
I'm looking for some inspiration. I'm going through one of those phases again when I lose my appetite and I'm trying to think of some ideas to have for lunch. Nothing too complicated as I don't really want to spend time cooking food only to waste it by not eating it and when not feeling hungry its too easy to just skip a meal if not motivated to prepare the food. So I'm looking for things quite simple that I can pick at if needed.
So far I've thought of ryvita with things like garlic and herb philadelphia or peanut butter and banana but I'm looking for some more ideas as eating the same thing too much will just lead to me getting bored and not wanting to eat again .
Thanks in advance for your help guys!
P.s. I don't eat meat but I eat fish/seafood. |

Is this to do with getting calories and micronutrients you need? Or simply just to find food you enjoy…
That might be super tedious a question, but fruit salad and yogurt is a go to for me with micronutrients
Any kind of nut butter is a calorie dense option for me |

How about a turkish salad and hummus that you can keep in the fridge... And have falafel (or similar) in the freezer ready to cook if it takes your fancy?
I also like homemade pea, mint +lemon soup... Or tomato +lentil soup (way better than it sounds).. I keep bake at home bread that i can bang in the oven. Can all be frozen if you can't tantalise your taste spuds

Kind of a bit of both. When I go through these phases of losing a lot of interest in food, it can't be good for me. Sometimes finding foods that interest me can help motivate me to eat. |

It's good, you could also cook too much rice and make a cold rice salad with mackerel |

A favourite of mine is a dish I had in Venice for the first time Chilli and garlic Spaghetti.
The oil is the sauce.
Olive Oil in a pan, add finely chopped garlic while the oils cold, then put the heat on, as starts to cook add the chilli and basil leaves or coriander leaves (chopped).
Then add your pre boiled spaghetti into the mix, stir it all around. You don't need loads of oil, just enough to make it all stick to the spaghetti. |

I got really into soup last summer but then suddenly went off it and I still have the leftover tins from when it happened . Unfortunately I have very limited freezer space. Hopefully when we move and get a full size fridge freezer that will help! |

Two slices of fresh tiger bread, slices of turkey, cheese, and pickle. That will set me for a few hours for energy to windsurf. Takes about 5 minutes to make. |

Ah hopefully you find some solutions, I tend to have the opposite problem lol.
In general when trying to drop weight or build up I have set meal times and either starve between meals or force myself to eat at them set times..
If you don’t eat much then the fruit might be an easy choice, and high calorie foods like cheese, nuts etc as they are low volume but higher calories, they should see you over when you don’t fancy substantial meal. |

It's a really consistent problem for me, especially in the summer. I have other times when I have a healthy appetite but then also phases likw this. I've even considered trying that huel stuff, not as a weight loss thing, just to help when I can't stomach food. It's really quite frustrating. |

Yeah I was having wraps. Emmental and vegetarian ham style stuff, wgg mayonnaise or tuna mayonnaise with salad. I just seem to get bored very quickly. |

Tabule , also i used to do a batch cooking day, put some tunes on pour a drink or 2.
You could then do hommity pie, red dragon pie, lentil salads, mixed bean salads, falafels, bean burgers |

I have a similar problem and I go through phases where skipping lunch is just easier.
A few things I like:
Crackers /ryvita with vegan soft cheese and cucumber.
Couscous with vegetable stock, pesto, peppers, mushrooms and broccoli.
A chickpea 'tuna' sandwich and a soya yoghurt.
Granola and berries.

I saw something you might like to recreate a cheese board lunch box, they look really good! A little selection of crackers and cheeses. Swap the salami for olives/tomatoes or something you like…
Another idea that I usually have is Mackerel and rice with a spicy tomato sauce |

Something that seems to always come to mind for me, especially when it's warm like this are various salads.
If you like feta, then try feta, spinich, baby tomatoes and maybe some peppers thrown in the mix.
Otherwise try a salad that you like and put some thinly sliced apples or seedless grapes in for something a little different. |
