What's your genetic heritage?

Haven't done a DNA test, but mine is likely to be some Jewish (Ashkenazi), some British, possibly a touch of Irish and beyond that, not sure. I know my heritage on both sides can be traced back to the 1770s with the aforementioned combinations of ethnic group. |

Yeah had it done.
DNA from all over the world, some of which I knew about. Mostly European with a bit of medeteranian thrown in. Turns out there was a bit of African, Asian and native American in there as well. Bit of a shock as I only knew about the European bit.
Lets just say it raises questions I might not want the answers to. |

Well my original results came back like 67% Irish, 3% Swedish and 30% english (I’m from England).
Then they redid everything and everyone got updated results and soooooo many people suddenly got Scottish in the heritage and the Irish percentage decreased |

I'd love to do one.
I think there may be some Chinese on my Jamaican dad's side and no idea on my mum's South East London side. They never mentioned the usual Welsh/Irish suspects but I'm guessing they'll be in there somewhere.
I think it would be really interesting.

I've done this. I have 61% England and Northwestern Europe, 33% Scotland, 4% Germanic Europe, 2% Wales. Nothing overly exciting, my ancesters weren't an adventurous lot. |

Ancestry DNA
Scottish : 48% (Which was news to me)
England & NW Europe : 36%
Ireland : 14%
Norway : 2%
I have about 3 other DNA profiles on other sites, and they broadly agree (some variations however) |
