She went down in an airplane

Fried getting suntanned

Fell in a cement mixer full of quicksand

Help me, help me, I'm no good at goodbyes!

She met a shark under water

Fell and no one caught her

I returned everything I ever bought her

Help me, help me, I'm all out of lies

And ways to say you died

She was caught in a mudslide

Eaten by a lion

Got run over by a crappy purple Scion

Help me, help me, I'm no good at goodbyes!

She dried up in the desert

Drowned in a hot tub

Danced to death at an east side night club

Depends what brain decides to spill out, no rhyme or reason to it, so it’s a mixture of ciao, night, see you later, bye or Tara alligator or manyana

"TTFN. "

I had an aged aunt who always said that, used to really grind my gears.

And Jimmy Young, always signed off his lunch time show on the wireless with that.

They say tararabit here, which I presume means see you later

I don't like saying goodbye.

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

When I was growing up an old friend's mom told me never to say 'goodbye' unless you know that you're never going to see them again and its much better to say 'see you later' or other equivalent..

This has always stuck with throughout my life and I encourage my children to do the same. In fact the only times (sadly) I've had to say 'goodbye' have been at funerals

“See y’later, bye”… Tends to be what I’d usually say, unless I’m at work, where I say “thanks for your call, bye now”. Not sure why I add the now.
