I'm always on the look out for suppliments to enhance my sexual energy(I'm not ashamed to admit it, I love sex, solo or with a partner) and I read about CoQ10. And I ordered the 400mg tablets(they usually sell in 20mg to 200mg), but I bought the really strong one's. (Apparently COQ10 is one of the safest supplements men and women can take)It arrived yesterday and I took one tablet with dinner in the evening. Now they say that it usually takes between 2 weeks to two months of taking any supplements (weather it be vitamins, fish oil ect) before you notice changes. But in my case I've noticed that when I take a new supplement, the effects on me are within days. So last night, after taking CoQ10 earlier in the day, I had an incredible hard on, and it was so sensitive. Yes of course I did have bliss, and in the morning, and now it's back for more. I've never taken viagra and this has really never been an issue (other than when I use to smoke , but I was never a smoker of cigarettes any way when I realised that smoking affected my sexual energy I stopped).
Yes I did do a lot of research before ordering CoQ10. Apparently it provides energy to the blood and cells. And yes I do have fresh fruit, veg, meat, fish and diary products. Always try to eat healthy. I also exercise a lot, between 2 to 3.5 hours of windsurfing a day. Unless there's no wind. And all athelics of all ages do take suppliments with thier food. |

Coq10 is a naturally occurring enzyme in your body, it decreases with age so far as I know. I doubt it has anything to do with your hard-on at all, if anything it enabled a decent, more restful nights sleep? You should see yourself having slightly more energy I'd think, as it enables as you say - better blood flow/oxygenation/cell strength (I think) |

Yes you are it is because of the better blood flow. It didn't make sleep any better, although I did sleep heavily, but that was only because of a busy day on the beach windsurfing then I had a couple of beers. And yes you are right, as we get older our bodies production of COQ10 reduces. |

Oh Crikey never get lazy when you find something so good. I've tried so many different supplements, all claiming all sorts. Now I only take multi vitamins (only the expensive ones), E-1000(its just really strong vitamin E), magnesium, zinch, calcium and fish oils. Oh and irons (irons is the only one that should be taken on an empty stomach). I get all these from Holland and barretts. Because you know the source is safe and reliable. |

You can overload and unsafe levels of magnesium, calcium and iron (and zinc), leading to a number of conditions. |

Yes I have read that taking too much of certain supplements is bad for you, that's why I don't take more than what's recommended on the bottles. I never use to take supplements till I started Tantra, and now overall health is so much better, and my sexual energy is so much higher. But you are right, taking too much of certain supplements like magnesium and zinc can have adverse effects. Well it's been about 4 months since I started taking magenisum, zinc and calcium and I have been taking 30% less than the recommended dose in the bottle. |

"When I was prescribed statins the consultant told me to take coq 10 to prevent side effects. I no longer take either due to adverse side effects .
I do take vitamin D though"
Thank you for your information, I just googled statin, and this may have a number of side effects, but all the reading I have done so has not shown any side effects on COQ10. However I will monitor my body if there is any negative effects on coq10. |

You should take iron tablets with orange juice to make them effective. |

Really? I read from the NHS website that iron is best taken on an empty stomach. Yet on the bottle (from Holland and barrett) it recommendes taken with food. |
