So a lot of my friends over a number of years have took up fishing I've never really been a big fan of just sitting there with a rod trying to catch some fish I don't think I could let alone catch a fish on here let alone a real one anyone out there that fishes |

I'm trying to master the art of fly fishing ... yeah, right, like that's going to happen ! lol
I also go spinner fishing, so both take me away from the 'sitting there' option.
It means I'm actively fishing in my eyes, but sometimes, it's nice to stop and take in your surroundings. |

You either get fishing or you don't, there's not a lot in between. The important thing for me is being outdoors in the peace and quiet. I would guess that I've seen wildlife during my fishing trips that the majority of the population have never seen? I don't get golf. To me it is the most pointless "sport" if you can call it that? But 1000's do it every day so there must be something to it? Each to their own |

That is the beat bit especially if you are fishing for something that tries to pull the rod out of your hand ! |

Love spinning, fly and also big river fishing. Op, target pike, perch, zander whilst spinning, trout and grayling whilst fly fishing and barbel on big flowing rivers you'll soon find it's all very active with no hanging around so no time for boredom. |

I have been fishing since age 5. Rivers , lakes and sea. Sometimes a few hours or a week on a lake. Apart being out in fresh air, even in bad weather. As another poster has said. Seen more wildlife that normally perhaps one would see on tv etc. Sometimes very close up . |
