 and now the gig they did at Brixton academy in 2007...I was under the age of 10 when Punk music was peaking in Britain...my older Sister was in her teens, appreciated and felt that peak...I had to wait a few more years to appreciate this musical era...Never got to see the Sex Pistols live but had the pleasure of seeing John Lydon and his band PIL at Rebellion Punk Festival....Amazing!!  So who else on Fab loves this era of music? | |||

 I know Sid Vicious wasn't in the original line up but my goodness he fitted in...Watched a documentary about Sid a while back...such a quite lad not what he portrayed on stage ..brought up by his whizz addicted Mum..then Nancy Spungeon introduced him to Heroin...He got clean and his Mum gave him the strong Heroin that killed him...R.I.P...Sid.. | |||

"Was a touch too young first time round (I was 12 in 77) but caught the back end of it when I hit my teens - so it's formed part of my musical heritage. Saw The Pistols at Finsbury Park on their Filthy Luchre tour in 96 - the day after seeing Madness in the same park, and more to the point the day after England beat Spain in Euro 96 - the Pistols actually surprised me with how tight they were live. For me though they were more of a figurehead of punk and there were plenty better than them including The Clash, Siouxsie, The Buzzcocks and The Damned " Maybe so...I just wanted to share my adrenaline pumping buzz I'm having over the Sex Pistols I would loved to have seen them live and also the Clash..Siouxsie Soux..The Damned..Undertones..Sham 69..I have seen The Buzzcocks though. That's the one ! Sign of a quality band when they sound better live than recorded. It was a great period to be growing up, at school you had mods, punks, soul boys, skin heads, heavy metal etc all with unique clothing and fights and scraps in and out of school between gangs.

If it’s too loud, you’re too old! "Never too loud, but alot of my friends in bands suffer really bad tinnitus and now wear ear plugs to stop further damage and I'm not going through that shit. If ear plugs are good for band members, they are good for me. | |||
