Advice from a grizzly
Stand your ground
Sniff out opportunities
Use your strength
Live large
Cherish the wilderness
Know when to slow down
And if it itches, scratch it! |

Inconscious consumerism preys on the uncentered. Once we lose touch with our center, we don’t know who we are anymore, and marketers fill the void by telling us who we ought to be.
Inconscious ought to start with u…. But not allowed to post it |

I've always thought this about religion to be honest. I hear ardent atheists saying there is no need for religion as we have laws to tell you how to live your life and even though I'm not religious, I can see why it exists because it can give uncentered people a purpose where there wasn't before.
Marketers don't do the same thing of course but I think the same principle applies |

Perhaps people would know their 'centre' if they weren't spun dried by religion.
Religion is no more than an early form of authoritarian control.

I quite agree, with that.
For me the quote is a reminder that the more we seek externally look for material happiness we seem to find less and want more to fill the void. Simplicity is key |

Only two kinds of people can attain self-knowledge: those who are not encumbered at all with learning, that is to say, whose minds are not over-crowded with thoughts borrowed from others; and those who, after studying all the scriptures and sciences, have come to realise that they know nothing.

Ardent atheism is very similar to communism , the state is the religion it tells you exactly how generous you should be to each other through taxation laws , all inspiration , creativity and human kindness is outlawed as these things come from the spiritual part of us |

Your quote is one that I hold close to my heart. I'm often the faceless person in the background of a person's worst days, but they'll always remember that they were treated kindly or harshly. |

I read a very interesting article in nietzsche last week.. So interesting I can't find it now.. I think the basic premise was along the lines of, in nature weakness is despised and only thebatrong survive, religion is the haven of the weak who are unable to survive... Can't remember his conclusion but it was very thought provoking if not memorable! |

"Religion is no more than an early form of authoritarian control. "
At the risk of opening a tedious can of worms, religion is much more than this juvenile description. |

"Better still. Explain what religion is ? That'd be good.
"
I can't explain it and I'm not ashamed to admit it. All I can say is that it's rather more than a pithy forum post. |

"Old Norse saying "Where wolf's ears are, wolf's teeth are near"
Meaning stay aware of your surroundings, smoke often means fire.
How about ........... Wolf !
"
Might work aswell so long as you stay aware of your surroundings |
