They create a fake profile and chat to other women who in some cases they may already be friendly with and get a different perspective. It's a way of gleaning info without making it obvious that they have their eye on the same guys. That just one reason. I've also seen it as a way of trolling other women or warning them off particular guys.

One woman has left the site a few times because of consistent trolling and abusive fake accounts being set up using her pics. This went on for a couple of years and left her to mistrust any guys she had met previously because she assumed one of them had an issue with her meeting others.

Eventually she discovered it was another woman who had been doing it all along.
