profile pictures in lanscape not portrait

Why don't people rotate all their pictures into portrait format before posting?
With smart phones when you rotate the phone to view the picture , the bloody phones rotate the picture back to portrait.
And yes - it is important !!!

You have great photos but some are in landscape when they should be in portrait so ask your self the question lol

On a phone you will have a "Media" button...
In Media you will have a settings button...
There should be an "orientation"
command to turn on or off...;-) |

A few of my pics, no matter how many times I rotate the original copies and re-upload them, they NEVER go the right way round.
Technology isn't all it's cracked up to be at times! |

there's a lovely little program called Gimp (for windows and other platforms) does everything that photoshop does and it's absolutely free gratis and for nuthin'
shameless plug of a good program!

You can use GIMP or PS, but even the Photo Viewer built into Windows has a button to rotate pictures AC or CW and it will save for you automatically. |

you can... not sure whether it really flips it, or just toggles the bit in the exif tho...?
I like gimp because you can crop, scale and %age compress the jpg to make a neat picture large enough to see and small enough not to take up oodles of space on the site
