I know due to political correctness etc that there is a lot that can't be remade, but if they could which programme would you love to see modernised?

I'm going for Blakes 7

Don’t want to be a party pooper, but I wouldn’t want any of my favourites from yesteryear to be modernised or re-hashed.

I luv ‘em cos they are what they are and any updating would mean they were no longer that.

"Tales of the unexpected

Terrifying for a young pup that I was "

They're continuously on Sky Arts during the day - I have about four series worth recorded I am working through and they haven't dated that badly - although they are a bit hit and miss in terms of the storylines.

Watched the first ever one the other day about the guy who bets a young kid his lighter won't light 10 times in a row - if it does the kid wins a Jaguar, if it doesn't the kid loses a little finger.

I've got all four series box sets.

I'd love to see a remake, but perhaps as a film, focysingbon key plot points. Maybe even a trilogy.

Would be great to see the Liberator on the big screen - done properly

I wonder how Alf Garnett would look in the 21st century with an injection of political correctness in his ring piece. Also, "Monty Python's Flying Circus" could take on a whole new dimension in today's world with the odd sexiest, homophobic, or any other comments likely to offend certain groups written out of the script.

Nope, it's one of those roles that are so associated with a particular actor that anyone else just wouldn't be right - Arthur Daley, Fletch (Porridge) are two examples where they tried and failed - actually they tried with The Avengers too in a film version that was awful

Funny you should mention that. My partner has not long been introduced to it by me.

She thought it was great funny and true, as she's Polish and taught English to adults, as a foreign language. She can use english better than me: but she can't abuse it like I can.
