EURO 2020 Day 13 : Who will survive the group of death?

Congrats to England, Croatia and the Czech Republic for qualifying from Group D, but yes Sir, Scotland have boogied out of the tournament at the first hurdle so commiserations to them but well played and hopefully we’ll see them qualify for the World Cup next year 
Today it’s the conclusion of the group matches with the final games in Groups E & F
First off at 5pm it’s Sweden v Poland and a Slovakia v Spain. Spain and Slovakia both need at least a draw to qualify (Spain on goal difference) - a defeat for Spain sees them definitely out, a defeat for Slovakia will leave them relying on Goal difference.
Sweden have already qualified but Poland must win to proceed or they’re exiting at the group stage.
At 8pm it’s the conclusion of the Group F, the so-called “Group of Death”, with Germany v Hungary & Portugal v France.
Remember the team finishing 2nd in the group will play England at Wembley next Tuesday teatime.
France have already qualified and Germany and Portugal both need to at least draw to go through. Hungary can only proceed with a win.
I predict:
Sweden 1-1 Poland 5pm
Slovakia 0-3 Spain 5pm
Germany 3-0 Hungary
France 2-1 Portugal
(That set of results would mean England v Germany at Wembley next week!  )

An hour in to the 5pm games and it looks like Sweden and Spain progressing as the top 2, Spain 3-0 up and Sweden 2-1 up, Slovakia in third but will their goal difference be enough? |

So.. looked like Spain to top the group until a late, late Sweden winner gave them a 3-2 victory over Poland. So it’s Spain v Croatia and Sweden wait to see which 3rd place team they’ll play.
One hour until the final round of Group games .. later tonight we’ll know who England play next! |

People who know the football threads know I have been saying all week that I thought France Portugal would be a draw and the Germans would win and sneak the group…
However…. With Spain tonking Slovakia this afternoon…. All three of the big boys from the group can get thru from the group as long as Portugal don’t get beat by 4 goals! So with the 3rd place team getting to face Belgium or Holland and 2nd place to face England…. That is the motivation for France to win tonight… the group winner’s reward will be Ukraine! |

England’s side of the draw has really opened up now, the other half looks the hardest route to the final in the knockout phases. |
