Pink card

I'm more of a Rugby chap than a football chap, but I do enjoy the big games like the Euro's and the world cup.

But what I can't stand is the girly over acting with the tiniest foul in football in order to gain a free kick or penalty.

So what I suggest is this;

Red card....off

2 yellow cards.....off

3 pink cards (for girly over acting).....off

I'm a football guy over rugby but I like the idea of pink cards!

It needs Nigel Owens ref'ing a few games as well

there was a thing on facebook a while back, there was a video of a bike rider, think it was marquez having a huge shut, he then runs back to the pits and gets on his spare bike and off he goes, then a video of some poof football player recieving what looked like a very fair tackle and es on the ground holding his knee, then gets stretcherd off the pitch

I don't think we need to use the word 'poof' here.

I'd like to see a pride of rather peckish lions at pitchside. When, not if, a player goes to ground desperately clutching their face, but still focused enough to glance at the positioning of the ref and do three roll overs. The lions are released. If the player is genuinely injured then unfortunately they will be eaten. If they are indeed faking it, I'm sure they'll soon be back on their studs.

good call, altho it would be cruelty to the lions, they would never get a meal

Swindon

I refuse to watch ANY men's football, simply because of their disgraceful behaviour on the pitch. They bring the whole meaning of sportsmanship into question. They have a total lack of respect for "the game", match officials, each other and themselves for that matter. Women footballers put them to shame.

That's why I'm now a fan of rugby. Players have respect for the rules, the game and more importantly each other & the match officials. I've been to several rugby matches and I've NEVER seen a single police officer anywhere near the ground, let alone separating the fans who sit side by side with the opposing teams fans. Never any ugliness in the stands and only a few "handbags at dawn" between the players, who, at the end of the game applaud each other off the pitch. Even seen players come back on the pitch after ten minutes in the "sin bin" & go up and shake the refs hand.

That's what rugby is about sportsmanship, which appears to be non-existent in football.

Someone else mentioned Nigel Owens, a brilliant rugby referee. Those overpaid, prancing & tripping cheats wouldn't last five minutes on a football pitch with him in charge.

Check out the Gallagher premiership final this Saturday, see how real sportsmen play real sport and get paid a pittance to risk serious injury without the whining.

Poof is derogatory to gay men. It's not a debate. You used that word in the context of showing that one person was not as strong or brave as another. This implies that gay men are somehow weaker than straight. You try using that word at work to describe a colleague and see where that gets you. It's not banter, it's discrimination. You used it in a negative context. Here endeth the lesson.
