As site supporters can see an entire message conversation from a fabber, it is so easy to spot those who simply send copy and paste messages.
When you see the exact same message pop back into your inbox how does it make you feel?
It makes me feel like they don't care about who they meet, it's a fishing mentality.
If they throw out the bait enough times surely they will get a bite!
Well fellas this isn't that fishy dating site, so stop your random line casting please. |

Had a few messages that have addressed me saying hi both! Obviously haven’t changed their message that they send out to couples!
Sometimes I feel like saying thank you for acknowledging my multiple personalities but there’s probably about 6 of us mashed in this body! |

Honestly I kinda get why they do it, especially guys who don't get many replies. It could just be a case of they have given up writing a personal message when they feel it's a waste of time.
It does humour me to see previous messages though. Especially when you get one saying, just stumbled across your profile. Nah mate you already messaged a week ago |

I certainly don't copy and paste but I try to include some key points in an initial message.
I always throughly read a profile, look at public pictures and if I like what I'm reading and seen then I address the owners of the profile and introduce myself, cover a few points about me and my interests, explain why I like thier profile and invite a reply if I'm someone they like the look of.
Of course including a few face pictures. |

I tend to agree. We don't mind c&p messages, it's the following messages that really count. |

It makes me laugh, especially when it's a really short shit sentence.
And then I reply asking where we can meet because he's clearly not getting sex elsewhere and therefore a sure thing!! |

I've been intrigued by the copy and paste complaints in here and on profiles. I was curious as to how you can tell but if that's what people are doing it makes sense. I sent a message the other day and just before sending it I read it back. I'd tried something different in the form of a jokey quiz. It did occur to me that it could be seen as a copy and paste but decided to send it anyway as an experiment. It failed, obviously. It may have been I'm not there type, I'll never know. I still wonder why people do it. May be they've tried putting effort in to no avail and desperation sets in and they believe a blanket approach will be more fruitful. I also thought men and women evolve differently on here, women may need to be more defensive (For want of a better word) with filters and not replying because of filter avoidance etc. Men have to learn a more offensive, but friendly approach. This is possibly done in phases as they/we adapt. All men don't necessarily go through each phase and some may get bogged down in one. Eventually, either learning how to use the site to there advantage or leaving.
I'll stop waffling now. |
