I'm just shredding years of accounts and came across one, well quite a few, that made me laugh and angry at the same time
A receipt for £5.00 for petrol, which purchased 12.38 litres of petrol or just over 40p per litre.
Without googling, guess the year
Also 5 nights in a 3 star hotel in Ealing cost £55.00??? |

I went to Islay and Jura in March 89 and was shocked to find unleaded on sale at...... 46p a litre!!!! And I thought that was a rip off!
So, I'll have another guess at 1991.
