I've noticed that some posters on the forums feel a need to always apologise or say 'don't shoot the messenger' before they post their main text. Are the forums such a group of people that anyone should feel the need so say this and people can't just discuss stuff without being offended or offensive? |

Sorry, don’t shoot the messenger, but to get into some lasses knickers you have to portray yourself in the best virtue signalling light so if you want to say anything that can be construed even in the slightest bit controversial then you have to caveat it as much as you can.  |

But surely its an open forum that anyone should be able to discuss anything. Without fear of personal attacks or reprisals. If people want a 'safe place' where they can never be offended because everyone thinks the same then an open forum isn't the place for them? |
