Migrane starts in my shoulder and stiff neck, seems to be a warning sign that one is going to start soon.

The last 2 migranes I've had I have felt so panicky like my brain would explode it throbs that much. I've had a few in the last few days, never had them this close together and often.

Anyone else suffer and what helps you?

I think the trigger, may sound stupid. I think mostly it is stress from work. Then I'm still grieving losing my mum, it was 6 month anniversary the other day and they all started then. I still feel trauma.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone else suffer badly with them?

Been a migraine sufferer since I was a kid

I have identified some triggers.

Quite often get them when there's a change in the weather. Had one last week, about 36 hours before thunderstorms hit

I think we need a storm now to be honest, felt like it for about a week!

What helps you?

Hope you feel better soon and I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't get them often but had a few earlier in the year. I've started making a note in my diary but my plan is to write a lot more next time about my symptoms, stress levels, emotional state, weather and anything that may have caused it to figure out the triggers. I think that's the best strategy.

I'm so sorry.

Stress gets me too.

If you start with a stiff neck, maybe find your occipital ridge and give it a rub with your knuckles. Not necessarily for migraine but referred pain in that sort of region I find is helped by that.

I have known people take over the counter migraleve tablets, which if caught at the right time can put off or limit severity. Others with the stiff neck have had amitriptyline which they take at night, strictly from the GP.
