It's just been announced today that following the merger recently of these two companies, they are ditching their respective names, and have opted for a corporate name of, wait for it.....
Everything Everywhere.
So, some arty farty PR company probably got paid masses of dosh to come up with that????????
Who the hell thinks up these bland brand names????
At least I can still remember Snickers used to be Marathon, and Starburst used to be Opal Fruits! ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

when they merged orange and t-mobile they had spare capacity on their "3g" network ... and this is what they are going to use for the "4g" services...
so they can start their "4g" service in october.... part of the original merger agreement with the EU is they has to sell of some of the capacity to "3"... so they may start theirs at almost the same time....
customers of O2 and Vodafone may have to way till late 2013/early 2014.....
my cousins use "4g" in the states... data is very, very quick... is good... but is a "battery killer" so we shall see what life you'll get on an Iphone 5 on "4g"... |

america has had 4g for a while.
what i would say is that i am pleased vodafone have not got hold of the 4g market first or been offered a chance to bid on the auction.
because they are one of the companies which use tax loopholes to avoid paying the correct amount of business tax to the treasury.
i ditched my vodafone contract in protest after learning about the way they fiddle out of paying tax.
yes i know one person doesnt matter nor are they the only company doing this sort of thing but to me it is not just the banks but companies like vodafone which help put us in the mess we are in.
so i am glad another company will be able to bid on the 4g contracts first.
and another point worth considering.
when the 3g contracts were auctioned by the labour government it raised so much money that there whole term spending was set against the money raised.
so yes, a lot of money will be generated for the treasury but it is a concern where the money will end up going and for what purpose.
sorry to go off track a little but i can see trouble on the horizon and this funding it.

"Ok me thick I still dont have a clue what 3G means so I have no chance with 4g "
The range on mine is only as long as the phone cable.
and I thought that you ladies would be familiar with anything called Rabbit.
Cheers |

Everything, Everywhere - apart from my house where you have to go down the bottom of the garden to get a phone signal on Orange.
Lots of Places, Most of the Time, would be a more realistic name for them |

I think it's the Everything Everywhere branding which is to be reviewed, as public don't like it much (any sane person could have told them that for nowt). They announced the ending of the orange and tmob to come, when they first merged, so those brands ending isn't new. |
