I'm not a TV nor have I stayed at The Cairn Hotel
However, my take on events like this is that we all seek different things from them and have differing expectations
So my advice would be to take that leap of faith and just book
Go be among like minded folk and have a laugh
What's the worse that can happen?
If nothing else, Harrogate is simply lovely and a great place for a weekend getaway  |

I might be wrong but I'm not sure that this is a regular event? If it's the K&I event it sounds like the Cairn is a new venue. If theres a way of checking how many people are pre booked it might be worth doing. But the hotel and Harrogate are both lovely.
As a heads up, Leeds First Friday would be an alternative. Not sure if it's currently running so check dates first. It's not a single venue, it's a collection of bars and clubs in the same locale. Always well attended and very friendly. I have attended this. |

Leeds sounds fun also are there lots to friendly bars |
