What are we saying?
I know I've certainly changed my age limits to something I'm more comfortable with. But recently there's there's guys who say they're above that age on their profile with a lower age on their account messaging me.
I don't know about you but I find this a bit odd and perhaps disrespectful? That may be the wrong word.
If someone has set a boundary that these are the ages they're willing to meet, why are you changing your age to get into that boundary?
I just don't get it myself. Perhaps someone else can explain it to me? |

I read a profile last night that was 10 years off, but declared in the text.
I get why people do it but unless age filters are removed i guess it'll continue to happen |

I don't get offended by chatting to any age group , but it'd be unlikely that I'd ever meet if they were much younger than me.. I like my men mature  |

I think a lot of people do it to get around age restrictions but I don't see the reason why people lie.
I'd probably be okay with it if someone changed by a year or two to make theirselves less recognizable. But if I think your 35 and you turn up to a meet with a walking stick you've gone a little too far  |

Yeah, absolutely!
To be honest, my age range is higher than I'd normally go for mainly because you don't know if someone a bit older might pique your interest... but it's down to me whether I meet at the end of the day!
No harm in chatting, just rather people didn't lie to be able to do so. |

I think everyone does it to an extent but one thing is maybe go a bit older or young by a year or two. (I admit I’ve put an older age to disguise in case)
But I mean, those ones who say they are 10 years younger… how can they get away with it?? |

I just think a lot of people will say anything to get shag!
I had a guy message me who was 12 years older than my top limit, I got cross with him and he blamed me for not making it clear on my profile - how much clearer do I need to be than having written age limits?
Or there are the ones listed as 42 but profile text says "Actually 47, can't change it now" - what's that about?
My least favourite though is mean who are older than me, whose age preferences are younger than both of us but still message me anyway. I feel like a consolidation prize. I don't even like it when I'm at the upper end of someone's age threshold, feels a little like sailing close to the wind! |

Right?? I've been told off for questioning why somebody has a different age? As if because they've given their real age on their bio that I'm the one with the problem??  like what? I even tried explaining why I didn't agree with his method and he got more angry with me... haha |

I didn’t bother putting my proper birthday, just the year so it defaulted to January 1. That means I’m now coming up as 36 and not 35 (my birthday isn’t for another few weeks yet) |

Hands up, my profile age isn't accurate but not to deceive age prefs, more to hide if that make sense? It's a couple of years tho not decades.
I have age prefs too but tbh, only because I have to. It's more about maturity and respect, neither of which are limited to a certain age. End of the day, if you connect and it feels right then a number isn't going to change that. Though, someone claiming to be way younger than they are is just daft cause if they meet, other persons gonna notice so what's the point. |

I prefer a certain age due to maturity too but maturity isn't often found even within that age range haha |

However he has a new profile now showing his age as 50? |

If I'm attracted to them in person it wouldn't bother me if they weren't the age on their profile, but pretending you're 15/20 years younger than you are might be a problem.
I changed my age due to close family and friends messaging me, who I don't want knowing it's me..I'm also taller than my profile states.

My fab age is my real age and it's never been an issue.
The only time it has ever come into conversation is when I get a message from a couple who are able to bypass my filters because he is older and she may be in her 20's.
Then it's a polite no thanks from me. |

With technology now you can SEE instantly if someone looks too old for you
Ignore the numbers on profiles
They are just a guide
Seriously would you meet someone with out verifying
