The last year has been tough for everyone but tougher on those that are already fighting a battle.
A battle with your own mind where some days it's an effort just to get out of bed in the morning. A battle with your inner voice that can't decide what's wrong with you. A battle with people around you who can never understand the way your mind works. A battle of fighting a life of struggle and a life worth living.
Anxiety, depression and any form of mental health is a condition you can't see. A condition you cannot plan for as you never know the moment it will hit you next. Even the happiest of people can be dying on the inside, you never truely know what's going on in someone's lives.
If your struggling, speak to someone. If your the one helping, listen to someone. Check in on the people you haven't spoken to for a while. Always be kind to everyone around you, you don't know who's ready to fall off that edge. We can't do it all but we can all do our little bit and look after each other.
If you make it through the bad days, your already stronger than you think you are |

Very well said OP it has been a massively trying time for all, many that have never even suffered with mental health issues have struggled this year and will need help going forward. I have suffered for many years, this year however has seen me supporting those that have in the past been my support. |

Well said,
I’ve found this past year challenging and have many up & downs but am currently in a good place.
To anyone that needs an ear, I’m here if you need me. |

"Do people find fab helps or worsens mental health? "
If I'm feeling upbeat, anything unpleasant fab throws at me rolls straight off.
If I'm feeling ropey and low, fab is a perilous place, because the odd nasty jab can feel more wounding than it really is.

It’s definitely helping me find my feet (and other body parts) in a new location. I don’t know anyone around Manchester and communicating informally and anonymously can be quite a tonic, as I’m a little shy. So in that sense it’s bringing me out of my lockdown shell. |

Speaking as someone who has recently been through this I can only agree with the OP's message. Us men are so bad at talking to people and have the "I'm all right" attitude. If you feel miserable, lost interest in the things you love, lost weight etc simply ring your doctor or speak to someone you trust. I hit rock bottom a few weeks ago and eventually plucked up the courage to ring the doctor and he couldn't have been anymore supportive. Thankfully I'm on the way back up again and feel much better now thanks to his help. Oh and don't be afraid of crying especially the men! Trust me the share price of Kleenex has gone up thanks to me over the past few months !! |

Glad you spoke out and got the treatment you need, it's so important to just keep talking |
