After opinions from couples and single women....
I've striked up a handful of conversations with ladies and couples who have replied and we've sent messages back and forth. On the odd occasion replies have sat in thier inbox unread. I've always left it as is, and never followed up with another message.
I'm aware that couples and ladies are inundated with a mountain of messages, what is your opinion on guys following up on messages that you've not seen in your inbox? |

How do you know it hasn't been seen? I'd take a no response as a no thank you, even with the amount of messages I get I can still pick out the ones I actually want to talk to. |

If we have been chatting and getting along well, I wouldn't mind if he sent another message a few days later.
Sometimes I see a message and intend to read and respond but get distracted or I am not feeling well, and then it gets lost. |

I wouldn’t mind if the messages were going well because sometimes this happens, you get along and then an influx of messages means they get lost. What I don’t like is when people message saying I messaged you but you haven’t replied, or start moaning about it. |

There and to the left a bit |
If you have already built a rapport then I don't see the harm in a follow up message *but* only after a respectful period of time has passed and not starting with an "I see you've not read my last" type opener.
It's a fine balance though to firstly know you have that rapport and secondly what a respectful period of time is.
Go with your instincts based on your knowledge of the other people I'd say |

…
If I’m in a conversation with someone I often read their replies in the preview if it’s short or from my sent items folder if it’s longer
Just because a message isn’t open it doesn’t mean it hasn’t been read |

I just leave it.
They'll reply if and when they want to.
Everyone has a life outside of FAB.
I'm guilty of not replying or just going cold on messaging, just happens. |

Sometimes I read a msg and think I will reply later and then I forget and it gets lost in other messages, only the other day I had to delete all my messages as it was getting too much to reply to, most people I msg regularly will msg again or I will contact them. |
