I need your imaginative brains again please to give mine a good kick today.
Imagine you are at a local festival celebrating end of lockdown and enjoying community spirit. You wander off to a creative tent. There is a Place for Peace being built over two weeks. A wooden structure surrounded by sensory garden, perhaps some potted trees, a bench to sit on for a moment and reflect on a past year and maybe even a small pergola over it like a protective umbrella.. A set of welcoming hands made of recyclef materials and welcoming you to the this little sanctuary. Do you get the picture? There is a tent each side and artsy workshops you can engage with between performances. Or just wander and take it all in.
How would you like to be involved with it? I was thinking a "catharsis corner" to write everything we bottled up over last year and throw it in. All the worries taken off our heads. I was thinking incorporating all senses. Smell - aromatherapy of nature in herby potted garden. Sound - handmade wind chimes with hollow bamboo. Plus few other touches.
What else would you like to see as a visitor? How else I can say.. we are happy to be back together. Let's do this together. Maybe things which we could display somewhere after. And the bench can stay there or be moved. And some element of final reflection on the project would be good.
Help! My brain is going into too many directions.

Some sort of paper that you could write the troubles on and pop them in a fire but the paper was scented in some way so that troubles go in and nice smells come out |

What about origami storks? Or chinese paper fish?
You can write your troubles /wishes etc on them or just colour them in.... Then hang them up from a net with fairy lights and let them flutter in the wind - eye catching, cathartic, pretty, Environmental, artistic...
If you did it well - ie a sturdy frame, you could send to a care home afterwards for them to enjoy for a bit |

I think I'm one of the few that's actually enjoyed the lockdown, not having to socialise (miserable old git!!)..but it has been good for reflection and creativity....I think I would like to see innovative ways of recycling and lots of it!! |

There is a local project which recycles things for art. They hopefully will be involved and hands on. |

I've been doing silent discos for my groups of families with additional needs. It's such creative joy! You can be selective about the kind of music and games. It's so uniting and fun and moving! |

Not just for art purposes though...art thats also practical...
Our arts studios...all 108 studios, evicted during the pandemic, 4 weeks notice! Nothing like a deadline to get creative juices flowing |

Paper chains? People can write something and add it to a collective chain, symbolism of being individual but united?
Pebbles/glass stones to add to the bird bath? Take a moment to reflect before adding it.

A stage for people to sing songs, that the crowd can join in.
Writers that have written stories can read them aloud, for others to enjoy.
Having something every one can do together, whether it be singing, listening, talking or helping out making it. |

"A signing in book with a wish for the future year? "
We are finding it so hard to stick to one writing themed idea. We might do more than one.
Thank you for all suggestions so far. truly grateful for your input. |

I was going to say writing troubles on paper and burning it away too but as its in a park there are other ways. There is ink that washes away off paper I believe - maybe peolpe could write their worries and watch them disappear that way?
Or being able to write it anonymously and it being added to a tree or wall of 'troubles' so people can read others to see they are not alone xx |

How about setting up a camera on a tripod with an 'insta ready' setting (good lighting /furniture/ hanging lanterns etc) and let people take photos of themselves, or have someone stood doing it and then stream onto an insta /fb page that is preserved as a moment in time...you could then also do a time capsule... Or repeat annually
Oh i wish i was closer, i want to be involved!!

Coconuts always remind me of old man balls with all that whispy hair stuff."
You are NOT stirring my mind in the right direction at all! Shake it up with some actual idea. |
