Great question and very topical for me. I spent months looking for a pair both online and in store when they reopened. Couldn’t find any. I resorted to ‘clocking’ what other guys were wearing and I liked the Samba.
In the end I bought a pair of Adidas Spezial, navy blue with orange trim. Very happy with them. |

"Good morning all am waring my favourite trainers today real comfy Adidas Samba an old model to cion.a phrase but comfy which are your go to trainers "
You can't just pin it down to one pair. I've got some new Adidas Superstars that are about 90% clear plastic so that you can really rock your socks in them. They're quite cool. I go retro with mine: Air Max 90 and ones, an assortment of Converse, Reebok classics, New Balance 574s. Love them all. |

Recently got myself a pair of Saucony Jazz. Well chuffed. Going to keep going with them as there are loads of colours.
Also like a variety of the New Balance 410s |

After doing a lot of running in the 70's and 80's...usually in crap footwear, Nike brought out a reasonably priced trainer...I think it was the Nike Shadow...it felt like running on air in comparison...always loved that trainer! |

Have a ridiculous amount of trainers as I collect them.
My favourite to wear would be Nike Air 90’s or Jordan s.
Starting to collect Adidas now as well. Keep the rare ones boxed but like to wear some. |

Damn my old age! Just remembered it was the Nike Silver Shadow! After years of running in trainers with crap, thin plastic soles...these were a godsend |

"Trainers smell "
Yep they can do but I am not wearing mine as a fashion accessory or to complete an outfit. They are for comfort as I exercise. I actually like getting my trainers dirty, muddy, wet as I feel a sense of achievement and good memories.
I also kind of like my converse a bit grubby and worn looking rather than perfect.
Maybe I am just a bit odd

Keen Newport…
Walking shoes with ventilation!
On my feet all day, so fussy about what I wear.
Strictly speaking they’re sandals but they’re the most comfortable footwear ever!
Uneeks are like walking around in your cosiest slippers
