it's an insurance thing..they are referring to psties attaching those cheap plastic flags to their carts..not at all dangerous but then there will always be some wag who decides they slipped on a flag that came off and wants compensation ..
that's all it's about really.. nothing to do with nationalism at a or denying rights etc |

"Why would anybody be sensitive about flying their country's flag?"
I'd be very careful if I was you..you don't want to go there !.. its obviously practical /health and safety and likely part of a risk assessment across the whole postal service telling all employees they can't hnf medals , flags, deity dangling things or actually nothing on their carts..probably not a new thing either |

But you can put Royal Mail Branding on your vehicles and staff because that's safe but not your nations branding because that's dangerous ?

to be clear this isn't about uniform..any company is entitled to use their own corporate images , logo, badges etc firmly affixed to company property and checked ( which I'm sure they would be )don't you think?
what you can't do is buy a cheap plastic flag from add a and have it half hanging on or off you cart risking it falling off..thats going to apply to flags , images if Budda, pop stars ,sports lgos , need I say more? it's common sense in an age where everyone wants to claim something if they can..this kind of reduces the chances of it
people really need to stop trying to turn it into something else
tip
never say 'oh dear' unless you have plenty to say afterwards otherwise it's very patronising.

Well Wales is a Principality to be fair..."
What is a Principality? The definition is a state ruled by a Prince. Did you think the Prince of Wales ruled Wales? How incredibly naive!
Where's his office? What's his budget? Does he publish an annual plan or have a manifesto?
Is he also in charge of Cornwall? Does one of his sons have considerable sway in Cambridge?
In Tudor times Wales was treated as the wife of England and all wives then were like personal property. I've moved on since then. Haven't you?
I know you like to try and get a rise from people, but this isn't even close.

Morning Tom! It’s gorgeous here today. Sun’s out and I’ll be in my pool before lunchtime.
I’ve got two passports. UK and Republic of Ireland. I have two Nationalities and I’m an official resident of Spain. I still pay UK tax though, rather a lot of it sadly.
I’ve got to go now, got to clean the orange squeezer.
No, I won’t accept your Friend Request. Leave me on your Hotlist and be done with it!
