Thanks a bunch Netflix!

Over lockdown I began watching a Netflix series called Once Upon A Time.

I really enjoyed it,

and was halfway through series 5.

This was something that I dipped in and out of when I wanted to have a bit of light entertainment escapism.

I haven't watched an episode in a few weeks, and tonight thought I would pick it up where I left off.

But no.

Netflix said no.

I can no longer find it in my continue to watch section.

And doing a search for the series it is no longer available.

I am very pissed off.

I had no idea that Netflix just randomly removes programs.

It is disappointing as if I had known there was a time limit to viewing it, I definitely would have watched more episodes.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing happening with Netflix before? And is there a way of knowing when programmes are going to be removed?

It is owned by Disney. The contract for Netflix to shown it has likely run its course and it is now only shown on Disney+

They normally mark it as ‘last chance to watch/view’ for a bit before.

Or if you google what shows are leaving Netflix it normally tells you online.

The above poster is right though... It’s on Disney + now.

On a mooch

I think they mark them u as ‘limited series’. I used to think that meant the whole series wasn’t there so never bothered starting to watch it, now I know different and moves up my watch list

Someone recommended Whitechapel to me but I've noticed the last day to watch is the 14th July and I'm not sure I'll get through 4 series by then.

When you go into a program if it has a limited time left it will normally flash up at the very beginning, where the rating and warnings are displayed.

Alternatively if you Google what's leaving Netflix there are sites giving full listings of what is being dropped in a particular month.

Thank you all for your comments.

I must have missed the notification saying it was going to be leaving Netflix.

Grrrrr.

And I don't have Disney+ nor do I plan on getting it,so am scuppered really.

Oh well, tiz only telly!

It helped me while away some boredom during lockdown, soon I won't need to watch it as much.

Same thing happened to me with Lucifer on Prime. Half way through season 2 and then poof! Gone! And only season 4 onwards is on Netflix.

Even though I try not to, I had to find *ahem* other means to watch it

"They all got shot in the end"

Haha. I wouldn't need to watch the whole series to realise that with every fairytale they all live happily ever after!

True.

Might be best just imaging how it ends, as it will be better.

When they removed Shrek I was devastated but luckily it is back now! I feel your pain. I've noticed so many shows disappearing now there are other platforms to watch them on. It's like I need 7 subscriptions to watch everything I want.

It is very annoying alright - pity you cant save your faves from deletion somehow.

I was gutted when they deleted Johnny Bravo
