On a bit of a down one today, all is okay but I'm unable to fix something that is out of my control - no, not something I broke either.

In need of perking up, as I'm sure a few others are in need of it too. So find somebody and just let them know it's not such a bad time, day, week, month, year, or even decade.

Not false positivity! Be honest.

Life is full of ups and downs. Both are temporary. But without the downs you wouldn't appreciate the ups so much.

I have work things happening beyond my control which are very frustrating...

So my day is kinda ok.. But i will get my ass kicked for their fuckup i think... On the plus side, it could have been much much worse and they are in one piece and able to return to their family in the same state that they left them

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I'm refusing to give hugs because it's too bloody hot for that.

But I'll offer affectionate pats on the head or bum to anyone having a crappy day.

Hope everyone has a better afternoon than morning xxx

In that case things ain't all that bad then.

So sit back, take a deep breathe, and be happy with the thought that everyone is ok, shit rolls down hill, and bosses can be turds at times, but they normally get theirs in the end

Let me be crystal clear: if you've faced a tragedy and someone tells you in any way, shape or form that it happened for a reason, that it'll make you a better person, or that taking responsibility for it will fix it, you have every right to remove them from your life.

Grief is brutally painful. Grief does not only occur when someone dies. When relationships fall apart, you grieve. When opportunities are shattered, you grieve. When dreams die, you grieve. When illnesses wreck you, you grieve. So I'm gonna repeat a few words I've uttered countless times, words so powerful and honest they tear at the hubris of every jackass who participates in the debating of grieving. Some things can never be fixed.... they can only be carried.

Not my words, but words that stuck so true everyone needs to hear them once in a while, even the people angry and frustrated at themselves for not "getting over it"

My best go to in this instance is my dog, he brightens my world.

Maybe a walk, if you haven't got a doggo pet someone elses.

Sunshine helps, wine sometimes helps or a chat with a friend

Hope you feel better soon OP

Oh no, not you too

Here’s a joke that cracked me up this morning.

In Jamaica a pie costs £4, in Barbados a pie costs £8, in at Lucia a pie costs £7, and in Bahamas a pie costs £9, and these are the pie-rates of the Caribbean
