Forums - what took me so long?

Just wanted to say that after quite a bit of time on this site it's only now that I've started using (as in reading, sometimes contributing) to the forums. They're fab, and you're all fab. All swinging life is here and I love hearing the stories and _iewpoints.
Not sure why I avoided them before. Think I have a perception of forums as being a bit spammy or too full of snidey comments. On the whole these forums are neither.
Erm, well done all for being interesting.

... and why do you think that 'perception' was wrong.....? Wait till you've been on here a week or two. You may wish to reconsider your _iewpoint......

Took me ages before I plucked up the courage to comment on the forums although I've read them right from day one. Sometimes they make me cry with laughter and can brighten up an otherwise boring day  |

Back in early 2000s I used to use MSN groups or excite groups or worse, yahoo groups. All their forums were awful. This one is great by comparison. |

At least a lot of us meet, and we're localish etc, unlike forums spread around the world.

I have been here a while now and only started using forums tonight. Mainly in fear if saying something that upsets someone or making an idiot of myself. Now i am hooked lol |
