"I used to get them a lot. They are truly horrible.
I was in a job I didn’t enjoy and I found stressful. I changed job and have never had them since.
"
I have suffered in the past due to stress and get that but my home and work life are in the green but I have seen on social media that a lot of people are suffering at the same time. I personally haven't seen this before but has got my brain going. |

I found that a cold shower running on my head worked….. given I was in a crumpled heap in agony, I’ll take that… |

I’ve suffered from bas headaches most of my life and only recently discovered the cause (apart from stress).
I was having caffeine hangovers, didn’t even know it was a thing. |

I do.. They last days, hurt like fuck... I've not found anything that touches them, so i just take paracetamol to reduce my temperature and just exist whilst they run their course. I've not had one for ages - but my triggers are tiredness +stress |

I've always suffered with miagraines and headaches but recently they were really bad, lasting for days, sometimes over a week.
Doctor sent me for an MRI scan and bloods, turns out I'm low in B12. In 3 months I've had 1, which lasted a day.
I had a horrible reaction to the tablets they gave me, only to be taken with an attack but the phamasits recommended solpadeine and nurofen. 1 of 1 and 2 of the other..... i always forget which is which but just solpadeine on its own has worked for me.
Might be worth calling your doctors just for a check up. |

I do put a bag of ice on my neck which used to calm them down fairly quickly. But this bout are kicking the crap out of me and none of my usual go to methods seem to work. |

I know a thing or two about these…
You need high flow oxygen, or sumatriptan.
There is a natural remedy for these, DM me for info.
Cluster headache is the devil. Strait up. |

i do yes, along with migraines. The only thing i have found helps is sumatriptan not the 50 but he 100s i may not take any for 6 months, but then ill have 3-4 days of taking my monthly allowance. I have found diet can help, also removing stresses, mine have got a lot better as in less frequent however they re a re bitch to get rid of. |

Whenever i get tired, eat badly and am stressed i suffer horrendously.
Nothing touches it, so i try to keep my head cool and take paracetamol (reduces temperature)
I try to stay hydrated, eat well and let my body rest as much as possible to scrap through - usually takes 2-3 days before i can start to sleep, see and eat properly again |

Sometimes but they totally self inflicted
Combo off not anuff sleep to much caffeine and sitting at a screen for 12-14 hours will do it
Normal my cure for them pop painkillers stop with the caffeine and go to bed wake up the next day with it gone but feel hung over |

Can never understand why people use this site as a source of medical advice? Half the responses don't even know what cluster headaches are. Should speak with a doctor and use intranasal Triptan. Most clusters need to be seen by a specialist. |

This. I don't have one consistent trigger. It's a culmination.
I've recently been reading some research by Angela A Stanton and have just ordered her book.
Basically one thing rarely checked are sodium and potassium levels in conjunction with cluster headaches/migraines.
Mid attack take salt, if it improves (apparently almost instantly) it's a sodium deficiency. If it gets worse it's potassium. No change - it's something else.
I've also been through all prevention type medication. I'm on the max dose of pizotifen. I'm ok provided i get enough sleep, don't drink, don't elevate my heart rate.
I have another neurologist appointment. In just over a year. |

Your wildest Dreams |
I suffer bad with them and migraines ever since I was a little girl. I am allergic to codeine so just paracetamol/ibuprofen for me. But last year I got a daith piercing in my ear and it has helped alot. I still get headaches and that but no where near as bad, I am not confined to my bed or toilet being sick for days on end anymore. Alot more manageable now. Maybe google Daith piercing and check it out. Good luck x |

I read in the Guardian a few months ago that a battery operated device used to stimulate the vagus nerve in the neck.. was approved by NICE. It sounds such a way forward as opposed to pills on pills that people are offered, trialled on etc. GammaCore were the makers as I remember. There was something about it treating asthma too but I was more interested in the migraine side of things. |
