How do you feel when someone calls in sick and leaves you in the lurch?

OP, my disabled leg is excruciatingly painful because I've had to drive my semi-broken down car on the manual clutch (which was half stuck in). I actually NEED to rest my leg tomorrow but because my assistant is already off and it's the absolute busiest time of year, I shall present myself at work on time and I'll just apply my stuff upper lip.

Be a grown up and go to work, if it's your scheduled day to do so. I'm sure you could have booked a day off if you'd wanted a day to recover from excesses of the weekend.
