Do you hear it, every year, when the weather warms? That buzzing. You see it bumping endlessly at the window. A massive black fly. You approach to open the window so that it can fly free rather than swotting it.
As if inviting your ire, it buzzes off to the next closed window. You approach that but once again, it taunts you by buzzing into the room, somewhere, and promptly disappears.
Why, for the love of God, do they do that??? Every bloody window is open but it chooses to lie in wait in the room. I feel it’s watching me, waiting for me to let my guard down and relax before it emerges, once again to torment me!!
What are your thoughts. Do you think it’s a fly conspiracy to drive us mad over the Summer? There must be a Pixar cartoon in the making whereby squadrons of flies plan a D-Day attack on humankind every year in vengeance for their compatriots that we swot.
Perhaps it’s time to call a truce and make peace with them. What say you? |

Ooo…mouthing a clever defence indeed."
My cat used to chase them out before he became fat & lazy.
But yes, OP, I bloody hate them. Windows & doors open to let in beautiful fresh air & you get big, fat, buzzy bluebottles |
