" Just read a magazine article where they listed (in their opinion) the top 100 westerns, anybody want to guess what number one was?"
Without googling, I am going to make some assumptions.
1. The Westerns which I watched growing up in the 80's, and western's prior to that would have been forgotten or unknown the more younger generations. My niece is 13 and she has no idea who The Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, or Queen are.
2. This rules out The Good, The Bad, etc and other classics.
I'm going to go for something like Django or The Hateful Eight. |

I phoned up a hotel and they said "Best western?"
I replied "Actually I'm more of a Sci-Fi kind of guy?"
Sorry I saw the thread and just had too.

Shame they are missing some good ones there, anyone into Westerns I'd encourage you to take a look.
I thought the remake of True Grit was way better than the original by the way, loved the dialogue and accents seemed very period |

Well, it depends on the magazine and your own opinion, but I'll go with High Noon. |

I love a good western but after reading this, I fancy watching one now. If anyone wants to join in, the popcorn is on the side, beers in the fridge, snacks in cupboard, kettle is on... Mi casa es su casa |
