When I am feeling low about myself. It's hard to believe one then. Even though intentions are good.

Agree - I hate being told that but for a different reason. I always think they mean "fat"

Kind of. Depends how genuine it seems. It's more of a need not to convince me that I'm wrong to feel yuck. Just be the space keeper. Until I sort myself out. I think that's what I meant. I didnt think it through!

Yes, agree to this one as well. It also makes it tricky to respond, doesn't it?

When it's patronising or back handed.

Don't Go Back to Sexville

On a pay cam site I get "You are the hottest man on the whole site". I mean get a grip. There are absolute chisel jawed adonises with 10" dicks on there. I'm an out of shape 40 something. I know they just want my attention but really!

There is a guy I work with. I saw him for the first time in 14 months this week. He clearly had lost weight. He looked great. He’d also got good shiny skin going on. Moisturiser ? Looked like a different guy.

So after thinking about what to say I went in with “you are looking well”. I dare not say “you’ve lost some weight”. It’s always awkward.

I can relate to that - I am thinking that it should be totally irrelevant to that person whether I have or not, I just want them stop focussing on what I look like as if it defined me.
